Description

Pihlskolan's high school in Hällefors municipality focuses on the future of its students. Pihlskolan has approximately 250 students distributed between high school and adult education. The school offers five national high school programs: Natural Science Program, Social Science Program, Technology Program, Industrial Technology Program, Restaurant and Food Program, and Introduction Program. The school also has a local sports education in ice hockey (LIU).

Pihlskolan also offers adult education at basic and high school levels, adapted adult education, vocational adult education, SFI, and Learning Center.

This autumn, we have staff retiring, and we are now looking for someone who wants to start working with us alongside our dedicated employees. With our family-like atmosphere, we can offer an environment where students have the best opportunities to succeed based on their conditions and ambition levels. Pihlskolan places great importance on ensuring that all students receive the individual and special support they need in subjects, classes, and individually. The school also organizes study trips to various countries in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement teaching in the introduction program, as well as in the national programs.
• Assess students' performances and development needs.
• Have a good understanding of the school's governing documents and apply them in daily work.
• Build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• View each student from a holistic perspective and work with a positive view of students.
• Have good pedagogical skills and understanding of students' different conditions for acquiring knowledge.
• Use digital tools in teaching.

Qualifications

• Certified teacher in Swedish as a second language, Swedish, and English.
• Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• If you apply for the position without a teaching certification, a temporary employment may be offered.
